The Fancy Parrot

Branding and rollout
The Fancy Parrot is Ascot Vale’s newest bar. What first started as a chalk drawing on the clients front fence was transformed into The Fancy Parrot logo and branding. The main character, adorned with a top hat and monocle, is a cheeky parrot affectionately named Pepe. Pepe is gender neutral, so is inclusive to all. He feels a bit fancy, but in an understated way. The combination of a simple palette, stripped back illustration and clean typography resulted in a brand that feels playful and striking, and allows for dynamic applications.

The fit out includes custom jungle murals by Jessica Wilson which features in elements of the collateral. Studio Cahoots worked on many facets of this playful bar including branding, menu design, signage, posters and social media tiles.
